🔔 Q & A
A Heart Pendant That Is Unwilling to Mend
The truth about the Sewberry world is revealed by this heart pendant: it is not for people who want healing, and the more you touch it, the more alive it gets. The act of healing itself is an illness that requires medical attention. When someone asks, “Are you okay?” point to this necklace of an unhealed heart and explain, “This heart refuses to be discharged from the hospital.”
Don't Hide Your Scars, They Make You Who You Are
This silver heart pendant has a fractured heart on it, so you can see all the wounds. I decided to show every crack instead of hiding them so that the work could really speak with tension.
Copper wire goes through the splits like slow, careful stitching. Instead of hiding the injury, I defend it. The heart stays whole because it won’t forget where it bled. So, the injury becomes a part of who it is.
Do What Your Heart Tells You
This heart pendant wants you to hold it, wear it, and live with it. Most importantly, it doesn’t expect you to be perfect. It wants to be honest. When its spirit matches yours, it turns from just jewelry into a quiet friend for a heart that won’t hide its scars.
“This heart—we made the call to pull the plug on its healing.”
Broken Heart Pendant: Scars are badges, cracks are light
Cracks, Walking With Me
When you’re alone and immersed in thought, your fingers unconsciously trace the uneven scars on the pendant. Right now, it’s not just a decoration; it’s a diary you can touch. Every touch isn’t a review of the pain; it’s proof that I’ve crossed over. At this moment, I am at peace with my past.
Declaration of Silence
It lies quietly beneath the collarbone, hidden among the crowd. When someone politely asks you, “Are you okay?” you don’t have to use words to cover up the truth. Just gently lift the pendant, and it will filter out those superficial concerns for you, only sending out a resonant frequency to those who can read the language of scars.
Not Making a Heart Pendant, but Performing a Surgery
The Dark, Dramatic Look of 925 Silver
I made the pendant out of 925 sterling silver so that it would feel smooth and comfortable on the skin. I gave it an oxidized finish to make it look more dramatic and raw. It keeps its proportions in check, making it both eye-catching and useful for everyday use. Because of this, it goes well with both bold and subtle styles.
Surgical Line Through a Silver Heart
This is the core soul of the craft. We chose warm purple copper wire, and used a surgical suture-like method to penetrate the silver crack for physical connection. The copper wire is not hidden inside, but exposed as a visual core, forming a collision of color and emotion with the cold silver. The suture lines are neat and clear, emphasizing that this is an active and careful “medical treatment” rather than concealment.
A Red Zircon That Burns on Its Own
In the middle is a red zircon that was chosen by hand. The stone will never get softer because it is so brilliant. It contains an unwavering inner flame, making this wound forever raw.
Some wounds, in the end, opt to stay open. This red zircon tells the truth. And so, its strong presence gives the broken heart a new type of strength—one that is straight, sharp, and without reservation.
